Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional (CNAP) Essentials Refresher Course

Refresh Your Knowledge. Reinforce Best Practices. Reimagine Your Impact.

The CNAP Refresher Course is a focused, two-part program designed exclusively for past CNAP participants seeking to refresh and reinforce their nonprofit accounting expertise. This streamlined course revisits key concepts, updates participants on best practices, and addresses recent developments in nonprofit financial management—without the need to retake the full seven-week curriculum.

Attendees will:

  • Revisit essential concepts from the CNAP Essentials course including the basics of nonprofits, including governance, GAAP revenue recognition, and the preparation of audits and financial statements
  • Review skills in budgeting, cost allocations, effective fiscal systems, internal controls, and compliance with IRS disclosures and Form 990 requirements
  • Apply nonprofit financial management concepts through interactive case studies, real-world examples, and hands-on exercises.

Ideal for nonprofit finance staff, managers, and executives who have previously completed the CNAP program, this refresher ensures your knowledge remains current and actionable, empowering you to continue making a positive impact in your organization.
